John A. Makholm, Esquire
John A. Makholm, is a graduate of Stetson University College of Law. Mr. Makholm is a retired Police Chief and has served as a Law Enforcement Officer for over 30 years, and still serves as a part-time Officer with the Treasure Island Police Department. John Makholm has been an extensive background in Police Training in high liability areas and conducts Risk Assessments of Law Enforcement and Corrections agencies as well as serving as a Expert Witness in Law Enforcement Matters. Mr. Makholm is a certified County Court Mediator and is admitted to practice law in the United State Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and in the Southern ,Middle District, and Northern District Federal Courts of Florida, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Illinois. John Makholm is an Advisory Board Member for "Police" Magazine, and authors the "Legal Lights" column for the ASLET American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers' "The Trainer" magazine, and is a columnist for PoliceOne.com
